“Things are good. I just got engaged,” reports comedian Adam Hunter. “I’m getting married in June. I met the love of my life. Which is great because I’ve got a lot of new jokes about that.” Hunter has managed to somehow keep a steady standup schedule despite being involved in numerous projects. “I shot a new pilot for Esquire,” he says. “It’s a competition; who has the best set under the worst circumstances.” He also notched an appearance on MTV’s Act Out and had a program on the Oxygen Network. “I went out with a bunch of my ex-girlfriends to see what I did wrong,” he says. “Which was very helpful.” Add to that his stint coaching middle-school wrestling, something he’s been doing for the past decade. Onstage, he talks about a variety of subjects, but doesn’t linger too long on any particular one. “A lot of it is from relationships,” he says. “I have some political jokes and a lot of jokes about sex. I run the gamut. I’m like a boxer. I try to throw as many punches as possible per round.” 18+; 21+ later shows.
