Although Idina Menzel was not a winner in the category of Best Name Pronunciation by John Travolta, hopefully she can take solace in this deserved victory. The Disney movie Frozen opened a few doors for the already accomplished Menzel, whose rendition of "Let It Go" in her vocal role as Queen Elsa is now more popular than ice itself. She paid her good fortune forward by turning Francis Scott Key's "The Star-Spangled Banner" into a glistening diamond at the 2014 MLB All-Star Game at Target Field. It breathed and sprouted wings. Her combination of power and finesse took the song to the top of the IDS and back. The land of the free and the home of the brave was so convinced that she wound up reprising the performance at the Super Bowl a few months later.
