The menu at Sparks, which changes regularly, centers on the space's wood-burning oven. Like most places with such an amenity, this means they serve awesome pizzas, including varieties like the meat lovers', chicken and gorgonzola, and a decadent truffle egg with Pecorino cheese and kale pie. However, Sparks also uses its oven for other tasty treats, such as roasted Amish chicken, potatoes, and lamb pitas, as well as pastas baked in cast-iron bowls. The beer list is mainly local, boasting offerings from Surly, Lift Bridge, and Fulton, while the wines are more worldly. The Sunday brunch is also worthwhile for its Belgian waffles topped with homemade whipped cream, hearty biscuits and gravy, and bubbly mimosas. The space is small but cozy, with big garage door-style windows and a nice patio.
